Joe Slater is the founder and college advisor for Slater Admissions Advising. He provides personal, one-on-one admissions advising to families of all shapes and sizes. As your personal guide through this process, he will be available anytime you need, from the first consultation to your acceptance and beyond.
Joe spent almost a decade working in different realms of higher education, serving as a Division 1 baseball coach, administrator, fundraiser, and admissions guide. He has extensive experience in what it takes to gain entry into some of the most selective public and private schools in the country and specializes in athletics and NCAA eligibility, having worked in coaching, administration, and admissions for athletics at University of San Francisco, University of the Pacific, and the University of California, Berkeley.
Holly Reynolds brings over 20 years of experience in education, including 12+ years working with high school counselors in private, charter, and public schools across Northern California. She understands the challenges busy families face during the college admissions process and is passionate about helping students of all backgrounds find their best-fit college.
With a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for each student’s individuality, Holly finds joy in opening doors to new opportunities. Her expertise spans high school curriculum, Independent Study, test prep, Study Abroad, Debate/MUN, STEM/Robotics, VAPA, GATE, athletic recruiting, gap year planning, and deferral strategies.
Whether presenting at college fairs, representing BYU Independent Study, or meeting one-on-one with families, Holly’s professional and personal experiences allow her to connect meaningfully with students and parents alike. She’s a proud mom of four young adults and is married to a distance track coach and lifelong educator.
